Hacking Resistance and Desire- Part II: The Laws of Physics

Hermetic Philosophy

"There is an attainable level of stillness and introspection where "The Silence" lives; this is where the breath, rhythm, and music reveal themselves. The Universe lends us a fine example of Hermetic principles here by displaying that although it has a clear voice you can decipher, it becomes present in the silence.

By allowing your thoughts to become quiet, you begin to understand the Truth of what the Universe is effortlessly saying."

This is an excerpt from the first chapter of this blog series, 'Silence Is Golden'.

If you haven't, I suggest reading that first, but the following transmission may still serve otherwise.

Hermetic philosophy is the underbelly of our existence on this plane.

It proves itself at every point and around every corner.

It is the knowledge you can plug your emotions into and find the balance point every time.

It is the inescapable Truth behind each lie we tell ourselves to feel better about what happens in our lives.

It is the solution to each problem you face.

Over time, the signs and clues that motion to these points turn from subtle whispers to screams if ignored or neglected.

Practicing silence and becoming aware of where the resistance between you and your dreams stems from plays a vital role in your ability to make sense of the scattered thoughts and feelings.

In an effort to accept the present moment, you must release the resistance to your desires and open yourself to the endless possibilities there are for you to create.

This "simple" exercise allows you to slowly peel back each layer's surface in search of the root,

but choosing to do the exercise is only half the battle.

The more significant challenge and question to answer is,

do you have the courage to be honest and patient with yourself?

Pen and paper make this exercise more daunting but also the most rewarding.

As you pick up the pen in solidarity with your thoughts,

a wave of anxiety may wash over like a pulse throughout your body.

"It's time to be honest," you tell yourself.

It's okay. This happens. It can be scary. The trick is to remember that you are just being curious. You can safely explore what there is for you to write down. Begin right where you are. There is no need to start at the beginning or the end or to rattle your mind about what to write.

Pause.

Take a breath.

Actually, take three.

Now, ask yourself,

"How do I feel right now?"

You can keep going by asking,

"What thoughts have been most prevalent in my mind today?"

or

"What emotions have been most alive throughout my day?"

maybe even go as far as to ask,

"What has been the biggest obstacle to my happiness these last few months or years?"

and most importantly,

"What is my deepest Desire?"

It's doubtful you'll need many more prompts to get you down a rabbit hole of thoughts and feelings. They don't need to be organized—yet, anyway. For now, it is just important that you get in touch with the part of you that can be comfortable asking and answering these questions without self-judgment or resentment.

This creative flow style is meant to arouse something more profound than the cyclical thoughts on the surface of your mind each day. It will bring you to a place of awareness above the "you" that is experiencing these moments—to the place of the observer. Here, you can conduct your human experience without attachment to the outcome of its story.

As you practice this, and begin to understand the natural laws in place here, you will be more apt to carve out time to build your relationship with your intuition and capable of utilizing your knowledge of these laws to make deciphering its messages more cohesive.

Hermetic philosophy generally states that the laws of the Universe bind us as a planet and are synchronized with the Universal breath; to go against them is to step out of that flow. This is where we experience rigidity and missteps in the dance.

Here are the seven laws of physics

that can be found at play in every moment of every day.

I. Mentalism

"The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental."

II. Correspondence

"As above, so below; as below, so above."

III. Vibration

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates."

IV. Polarity

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."

V. Rhythm

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall the pendelum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythms compensates."

VI. Cause and Effect

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law, not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."

VII. Gender

"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes."

When you question why something is going wrong or what you could have done better, these pillars offer a starting place for learning where there may have been an imbalance in any given emotion or circumstance that caused it to tip in a negative direction. They help teach discernment and discipline when training your mind to respond in new ways to external stimuli.

This is how we expand and grow through adversity. There is no need to induce extra stress upon ourselves just because these struggles exist. Learn to move through them with grace and awareness of the grand system we are a part of.

Here, you will find peace in the unknown.

We are all meant to learn our soul's lessons through this mind and body's experience. Therefore, although it is not necessarily "our fault" when bad things happen to us, we are meant to get to a point where we can look at those moments objectively and move forward with gratitude for all that you got the chance to learn and all the emotions you got to feel. These shape our character and life story, for whatever it's worth.

To further try to encapsulate this philosophy would be to tamper with its purity and the focused attention it deserves. If nothing else, reading it will confirm some of what you feel you've been "knowing."
